I am a secondary mathematics teacher. I used to run projects and changes for a large financial organization and it paid well, but it made me feel that I was enabling bad behaviour. These days I make a lot less money, but I have a clear conscience.
I have a raft of IT and project management skills that I shall probably never use again, but hey, no regrets.
I have retained and still use my coaching skills. Mostly those are based on simple kindness, clear communication (I favour the honest and respectfull styles of Faber and Mazlish and, for the hassle and complexity of daily life I like David Allen's Getting Things Done approach: "Getting Things Done, The Art of Stress-Free Productivity"
